Another Viewpoint of Your Golf Game

Practical Golf offers you an alternative way to determine how well your golf game is going.  Break your game in to 3 areas:

  • tee shots
  • approach shots
  • finesse shots (100 yards or less)

The mantra is not to worry about perfecting every shot, this worry often times contributes to the mistakes made.  If you learn to see each area as a potential to improve, you will do better.

Practice consistently, don't spend all your time at the driving range - get out on the golf course, and keep telling yourself that making mistakes is part of the game.

"You don’t need to be perfect to have a great round of golf, you need to be patient with yourself. At least one part of your game is going to fail you. If you can remind yourself that mistakes are OK, and have the mental resolve to dig in when they occur, your scores will improve."
