Meet Madison! She is talented and easy to talk to and I had the pleasure of meeting her at lunch with the rest of her Field hockey camp! I have seen her out on the field and this girl can play! Although a lot of her heart belongs to horseback riding, this camp has helped her realize her love for field hockey as well!
Megan: Hi Madison! How have you been today?
Madison: “I am great!”
Megan: So, how are you liking field hockey? I have met your sister who is in horseback riding and I know that she is doing great and having fun there, so have you found that you are having the same experience?
Madison: “Yeah! I have been really liking Future Stars Camps. I have been here for 2 weeks at Future Stars and have been loving it. It is my first time here.”
Megan: So, have you played field hockey before?
Madison: “Yeah, I have been playing for about 3 years.”
Megan: Woah, that's fun! So what has been something, that you’ve liked at camp?
Madison: “I really like the mornings because that’s when we learn a lot of our new skills and do drills.”
Megan: What has been your favorite drill?
Madison: “I have really liked learning how to drive to the best of my ability.”
Megan: What would you say is your favorite part of the day?
Madison: “Probably, when we are practicing shooting! I also obviously like getting to know the girls and the coaches”
Megan: So, do you think you’ll come back next year?
Madison: “Yeah, I want to!”
Megan: Yay! So are there any other activities that you like to do besides field hockey?
Madison: “Yeah, I horseback ride a lot. That is my main sport but now field hockey is coming in a close second. I also play softball”
Megan: I hear you are going into high school this September. Do you think you will try out for the team?
Madison: “Yeah, I am thinking about trying out. It is hard because horseback riding is year-round, but I am getting a lot more into field hockey, especially after coming to camp, so it will be a hard decision.”
Megan: It was great talking with you and good luck with your decision and we will see you next summer!
