Meet Grayson, he's quite a regular at Future Stars Camps and has had varying experiences over the years.
Farah: Hi Grayson, nice to meet you! I have heard that you have attended Future Stars for quite some time. When did you first start at Future Stars Camps? Do you have siblings at camp?
Grayson: I started a long time ago. I was at least 5 or 6. I'm 12 now. My sister Mia is in Lacrosse, too, and she also attends Field Hockey camp.
Farah: What camp are you in this week? Are you here for multiple weeks/different sports?
Grayson: I'm in Lacrosse right now. I also went to S.T.E.A.M. this year. The coding and designing one. I have done other things, we usually do a bunch of different ones.
Farah: What have you been working on this week?
Grayson: We’ve mainly been working on the basics. Passing catching and ground balls. A lot of 1v1 situations. We’ve also been doing a lot of fun stuff which eventually corresponds with the other stuff we’ve been working on.
Farah: What is your favorite part of this week?
Grayson: I like doing the odd man situations. 1v2 or 2v3. They’re very useful on the field.
Farah: What are you most looking forward to this week? This summer?
Grayson: I like the competitions. Longest shot, longest pass. Its all really fun but I also love scrimmages.
Farah: Do you have a favorite counselor?
Grayson: No, I like them all equally.
Farah: Is there someone that you look up to or admire in sports?
Grayson: Yes, I love Matt Kavanaugh. He does really good work on and off ball. Like cutting picks and bodying. He inspires me to play this sport.
Farah: What are your hobbies?
Grayson: I like to chill out and watch TV, read, and play board games.
Farah: What is the best part of being a kid?
Grayson: Not having too many responsibilities.
Farah: What grade are you in? What do you most enjoy about school?
Grayson: I will be going into 7th grade. I like history.
Farah: Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?
Grayson: Not yet, I’m still figuring out my options.
Farah: What is your favorite memory from camp?
Grayson: When I was 7 or 8 and I was at baseball camp and hadn’t used turf yet and there was a small area where we were playing and I got my first medal. I really liked that moment.
Farah: Aww, so glad that you had a special moment like that and may you continue to have many more at camp.
