Meet Future Stars Camper Matthew, an aspiring magician.

Farah:  Hi Matthew, nice to meet you.  Thanks for chatting with me.  By the way, how old were you when you started at Future Stars Camps?

Matthew:  Well I’m 13 now,  so probably about 8.

Farah: If you have siblings, do they attend the camp too?

Matthew:  I have 2 brothers, one older and one younger. My younger brother did basketball last year and my older brother did baseball maybe 4 or 5 years ago.

Farah:   What are your hobbies?

Matthew:  I like magic and I like basketball

Farah: What are your favorite television shows?

Matthew:  I really like "Lab Rats', its an old television show.

Farah:  Who's your favorite sports player?

Matthew:  My favorite athlete is TJ McConnell, he’s on the Indiana Pacers.

Farah: Do you have an idea of what you want to do or be when you grow up?

Matthew:  Maybe a basketball analyst or a reporter, something like that.

Farah:  What’s your favorite food?

Matthew:  Pizza

Farah:  What grade are you in?

Matthew:  I'm going into 8th.

Farah:  What do you most enjoy about school?

Matthew:   I really like science.

Farah: What are you most looking forward to this summer at camp?

Matthew:  Just having fun!

Farah:  Which programs at Future Stars camps do you attend?

Matthew:  Magic and basketball

Farah: What is the best part of being a kid?

Matthew:  Getting to try new things and having new experiences.

Farah:  What is your favorite memory from camp?

Matthew:  My favorite memory from camp was maybe 2 years ago.  In magic, we did a performance, like a pre-show for the circus before they started their show. I just remember the faces on the people in the audience. I loved just seeing their faces when we did the magic tricks, it was really fun to see their reaction!
