Juggle: verb, juggled, juggling.
1. to keep (several objects, as balls, plates, tenpins, or knives) in continuous motion in the air simultaneously by tossing and catching.

There are recordings of juggling in ancient civilizations that include Eygpt, Rome, China, and Greece. The earliest record of toss juggling an be found in a painting of an Egyptian tomb. The history of juggling is filled with colorful highs and lows. Juggling became associated with circuses when Philip Astley, "father of the modern circus", included jugglers in his London circus in 1770.
